CSCM was formed in January 2020 with the aim of increasing the standards in the crowd management industry.

With a combined experience of over 120 years between the management and supervisory team, in a wide range of deployments

THE TEAM:

CRAIG KELLY (FCMI, MIoD, MIoL, M.IPSA) – MANAGING DIRECTOR

With 19 years of experience in the event safety and security industry, Craig brings a wealth of knowledge to the company. Having worked at multiple events, both large and small during his career, Craig’s experience has driven the path that CSCM has taken.

With 19 years in the industry, and experience in static guarding, door supervision, and event safety and security, Craig has worked in a multitude of roles, from an event steward to Security manager at many events large and small.

In 2023, Craig won the “Security Staffing Pioneer of the Year” in the Managing Director of the Year awards 2023, and also the “Best Security Recruitment Managing Director – Wales” in the CEO of the Year Awards 2023
In 2024, Craig won the “Event Safety & Security MD of the Year 2024 (Wales)” in the Managing Director of the Year awards 2024

Craig is also an experienced Event Security Control Room Manager, having worked in Control Rooms for events such as T4 on the Beach, V Festival, London New Years Eve, and Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee.

MADISON RAWLINGS (M.IPSA) – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Maddie’s experience of the industry began at a young age as she always went and watched her father work as a supervisor at her local football club, that CSCM now also supplies staff to.

She then began to follow in his footsteps aged 18, having worked in the industry for the last 13 years.

She always says no matter how well you know something, you are never too old to learn something new.

Rhys is CSCM’s HR Manager, having taken a step back from his previous role as Operations Manager.

RICHARD NUGENT – STEWARD SUPERVISOR / WELFARE TEAM

Richard brings a wealth of experience to the team, having started in the industry during the mid 1980s when he got a job in the security industry with a well known security company

Richard completed the city and guilds security course in all areas and passed

The company that Richard worked for gained a contract at a premiership rugby club so he started stewarding before stewards were mainstream.

Whilst carrying out this deployment Richard liked what he was doing so he decided to specialise in this sector. Not long after he started covering other events including pro celebrity golf tournaments horse racing and a few boxing matches.

Not too long later the local football club (Cheltenham Town FC) managed to get into the football league, and by this time stewards were required for all matches

Richard proceeded to gain a qualification in spectator safety. He worked as a steward for a few years directly for the football club before the safety officer recommended him for the next level so Richard now holds a level 3 in spectator safety

MIKE BARTLETT – WEST OF ENGLAND REGIONAL MANAGER

Mike has recently been promoted to the West of England Regional Manager position. In this role, he will be heading up tasks in the Wiltshire, Bristol, and Gloucestershire areas, answering to the Operations Director.

After spending 16 years in the British military, Mike started his security career before the wearing of a SIA license was required.

Mike is currently on licence number 6, having done a lot of work in the security industry from sporting events to government projects, red carpet film showing in London, music festivals and concerts, corporate black tie events and Christmas parties.

ASHLEY PEARCE-CRAWFORD – OPERATIONAL SUPERVISOR

From the very beginning of his career until this very day Ashley has gained exceptional experience from the security industry.

From the age of 15 Ashley joined the Army and by 16 he was sent for his training which he completed in just over a year. After completing his training at the age of 17 he was sent to his first unit in Germany as a Royal Engineer specialist driver.

Whilst serving in Germany his qualifications grew and he gained a qualification within E.O.D & search. He has been deployed in many countires whilst based within germany such as France, Austria, Cyprus, Jordan, Afghanistan where his training everyday grew not just within the Army or the security industry but knowing how situations can be de-escalated within different countries.

Ashley is now currently still serving in the U.K in a E.O.D & Search regiment being tasked with U.K operations. Whilst serving in the U.K Ashley gained his SIA Door Supervision qualification which he has held now for just over 8 years and this is where he has gained experience within the music/event/door supervisor role. He has worked at many headline music festivals such as Creamfields Festival, Reading Festival, Download Festival, Glastonbury Festival plus many more starting just as a member of the standard security team making his way up the promotion ladder to team leader and supervisor roles.

Other experiences Ashley has gained working as a door supervisor and head door supervisor in pubs , bars, inns and hotels.

During the last 16 years Ashley has been presented with multiple opportunities for growth and evolution within the security industry and still continues to work with impeccable amounts enthusiasm, dedication and commitment.

TERRI McCONNON – STEWARD SUPERVISOR / WELFARE TEAM SUPERVISOR

Terri has been a steward for approximately 6 years.
She was late getting into the business due to being a stay at home mum, however, when the right time came, she followed her new partner into the world of stewarding.

She has spent her first 2 years at my local English football league 1 team Cheltenham town, where she carried out numerous tasks in various areas. Her starting role in her first year was a floating steward, in her second year she was in a more permanent area at the home fans end, where she would liaise with the supervisor steward and first aid team. From then, Terri followed her partner to the world of rugby.

Her local professional team Gloucester rugby in the Gallagher premiership at this location. Terri gained her N.V.Q level 2 in spectator safety. This is where she learned a lot more about stewards and their roles as now that she is qualified, she carried out stewarding for:

England under 18s
England under 21s six nations,
England Women’s six nations’ first team
Gloucester Hartpury Women’s team,
Forces Cup between the Army men and R.A.F. men,
Army ladies against the R.A.F ladies,

During closed season the stadium was used for a musical arena where She has worked concerts for Ollie Murs And Niall Rogers (from the hit group “Chic”)

During the rugby season she has also carried out stewarding for the national league one side Hartpury collage

When her partner Richard met up with his old friend Craig and realised he’d started his own business, Terri and Richard joined the team of CSCM

While being a part of the team at CSCM Terri has undertaken a first aid course in mental health level 2 and is also a member of the welfare team and has worked at some amazing locations.
